The old rule, to treat others as we want to be treated, assumes that what we want is what everyone else wants.

The New Golden Rule recognizes and embraces that we are all motivated by varied emotions, wants and needs. We take responsibility for our communication and seek to understand each other.

The most effective communication comes through listening with empathy and without judgment.

We adjust the style of our communication to align with the diverse needs of those we interact with, focusing on adding value and making a difference.

Those we impact are compelled to follow the New Golden Rule and share with others.
